| Description |
| EAGLE GROUT PRESTIGE is an high performance one component water-based, urethane and quartz pre-mixed grout for ceramic tiles and natural stones. Ready-to-use, it has been formulated for interior ceramic tiles grouting, horizontally or vertically, for a residential or commercial use. This non-toxic, odorless and non flammable products has very good adhesion on porcelain, granite, marble, glass and ceramic tiles, applied on counter tops, back splash, vanities and also shower’s walls and corners. Once completely dry, resin becomes translucid and offers multicolored joints having excellent water, stain and mildew resistance. This system, comparable to an epoxy without all its inconvenience, offers superior resistance to impacts, acids, alkalis and some solvents. Certain glazed ceramic tiles or natural stones could be scratched or damaged by aggregates found in this product. Consult tile fabricant before use. Preferably, do a test on a small area before its use. This product is not recommended for water submerged surfaces. |
| Surface Preparation |
Ceramic tile thin-set mortar must be dry prior to grouting. Make sure that joints are clean, dry, free of dust or dirt, etc. Natural stone or very porous tiles, absorbent or rough could require surface sealant application prior to grouting, seek for tile supplier advises. Some glazed tiles or natural stones could be scratch or damaged by aggregates contained in this product. Consult tile supplier. In case of doubts, do a test on a small hidden portion of floor before use.Ambient, surface and product temperature must be superior to 10ºC (50ºF)and lower than 35ºC (95ºF) before the installation and for the first 24 hours. Most convenient temperature is between 20ºC and 22ºC. |
| Mixing |
No mixing is required. It could be preferable to do a small remixing to eliminate compaction due to transportation. Proceed immediately to apply and finish. Close lid temporarily between each use to prevent product from drying. Clean working tools and hands with water while product is still fresh. |
| Application |
It is important to make sure that setting material is dry and joints are emptied from dust, dirt and debris. Spread Eagle Prestige Grout diagonally from joints with a rigid rubber float having a 45º angle. Uniformly compact grout into joint making sure there are no voids or air pockets. Remove excess grout by passing rubber float diagonally from joints at an angle of 90º. This method makes a joint filled equal to tiles and leaves tile surfaces mostly clean. Place correct and clean joints and tiles carefully after about 30 minutes of drying, with a nylon scrubbing pad and lukewarm water. Take care to remove cleaning debris to prevent them from being integrated back in joints. Eliminate all remaining water from joints surfaces with a firm cellulosic sponge to optimise a good material cure. |
| Curing |
Protect surfaces for 48 hours. Curing time may vary according to temperature and humidity level. Make sure application is dry prior to allow light traffic |
