| Description |
| Eagle Feather Touch is a polymer modified rapid-set patching compound, designed to fill holes, cracks, voids, depressions and other minor irregularities. This hyperhydratation cementious technology mortar can be applied in very thin coats and dries quickly to allow a more efficient, interior, wood or concrete floor surface preparation, before installation of floor coverings like carpet, vinyl sheeting, composite tile, etc. Compatible with all types of floor covering adhesives, Eagle Feather Touch is designed for residential, commercial and institutional uses. This material must be covered. When mixed with water Eagle Feather Touch can be applied from feather edge up to 12 mm (½”) thick. |
| Surface Preparation |
All surfaces to be covered shall be structurally sound, clean and free from traces of dust, oil, grease, wax, paint, curing agent, coatings and loose particles. They must also be exempt from any trace or presence of acids, concentrated alkalis, chemical cleaning agent or any other material that can reduce adhesion. Substrates like particleboard, chipboard, Lauan, presswood or masonite are not appropriate for patching compound products. The only recommended wood substrate for residential floors is exterior grade plywood installed in an interior dry area. All concrete substrates shall be completely cured and at least 28 days old. Ambient, surface and product temperature must be superior to 10ºC (50ºF)and lower than 35ºC (95ºF) before the installation and for the first 24 hours. |
| Mixing |
In a clean container, pour exactly 500 ml of fresh clean water per kilogram of Eagle Feather Touch. Add gradually the powder while mixing with a low-speed drill and a paint mixer. Blend for 1 to 2 minutes scraping recipient wall and paddle to obtain a homogeneous trowelable consistency. Spread immediately to the desired texture and finish. Mix portion of product that can be applied in less than 10 minutes. Clean working tools and hands with water while product is still fresh. |

Eagle Patch takes about 20 minutes to dry. Curing time may vary according to temperature and humidity level. Make sure application is dry prior to allow light traffic for floor covering installation. |
